False Creek Community Centre Events: Ocean Flotilla Paper Boat Workshop
The Ocean Flotilla Environmental Art Project is holding three workshops at the False Creek Community Centre on August 7th, 11th and 16th to help build and prepare 1000 paper boats to be launched from Granville Island on September 17 as part of the Art (iS) Land outdoor installations.

According to the False Creek Community Centre website:
The workshops require a commitment to attend the full time of the workshop which requires precise folding techniques and a 3 stage process of making the paper boats water resistant with an organic medium that is anti allergenic, insect resistant as well as being an old folk medicinal remedy.
The times are as follows:
Families Sunday, August 7, 1:00-4:00 pm
Children & Youth (10-12 yrs) Thursday, August 11, 1:00-4:00 pm
Older Adults Tuesday, August 16, 12:30-3:30 pm
