Southeast False Creek Cobbler Collecting Shoes for the Homeless
Quick Cobbler Homeless Shoe Program
The Quick Cobbler, which as been in business since 1985 and in Southeast False Creek for several years now, has run the Homeless Shoe Program from the beginning. Over the years they have donated over 25,000 pairs of shoes to people in need.
You are invited to bring any shoes that are still serviceable, or even those that need light repairs, they will do the repairs before passing them on to charities such as:
- Union Gospel Mission
- Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre
- B.C. Persons With Aids
- Crabtree Corner
- Oppenheimer Park – Carnegie Affiliate
- Vancouver Native Health Positive Outlook
- Positive Women’s Network
- Kettle Friendship Society
The Quick Cobbler is located at 430 West 2nd Avenue and you can drop off your shoes anytime during business hours.
