Creekside Community Centre Hosts World Umbrella Day Rehearsal

This Saturday, March 2, 2013 (tomorrow!) there will be a rehearsal at the Creekside Community Recreation Centre for The World Umbrella Day flashmob Umbrella Dance. The dance itself is taking place Saturday April 13, 2013 at the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza as part of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival.

With Bollywood choreography by Shiamak Davar and training by his Shiamak Davar Dance Company, pop art umbrellas by Vancouver’s Anthony Redpath and live taiko by Tetsu Taiko this looks like a fantastic event. The rehearsal does cost $25 and includes your own limited edition cherry blossom umbrella.

You can register and pay for your umbrella on Vancouver Cherry Blossom website here, or pay in person at the rehearsal (you still need to register for the rehearsal though, as space is limited).
