Creekside Community Centre To Host Winter Games Celebration

 Winter Games Legacy Celebration in the Former Athletes Village February 9th

To commemorate the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver and celebrate the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia the Creekside Community Centre is hosting this free family event.

All the Blue Jacket volunteers are invited to participate in the opening parade. Register by called 604.257.3050

Visit Canada House and Russia house and enjoy:

• cultural themed crafts
• cookie decorating (and eating I presume!)
• flag making
• maple syrup pops
• and a West Coast Lumberjack Show presented by Craft Beer Market Vancouver.

Celebration activities will include:

• an opening parade
• RCMP in Red Serge
• Autographs with gold medal winner Ashley MacIvor
• an extreme snowboarding simulator
• toddler dry floor sport rink
• toddler and children’s hockey sponsored by Vancouver Sportball
• caricature drawings
• face painting
• button making
• photo station
• live entertainment
• Olympic memorabilia
• Menchies Frozen Yougurt
