Cressey Development’s Meccanica development at East 1st Ave and Quebec St has reached an important construction milestone: they are out of the hole, otherwise known as “at grade.” You should see the tower rising on the site soon.

Meccanica Connecting to the NEU Soon
Meccanica will be connecting to the Neighbourhood Energy Utility (NEU) during the last two weeks of July. This facility, located under the south side of the Cambie St Bridge, draws energy from waste water to provide heating a cooling to buildings in Southeast False Creek. The NEU reduces carbon emissions associated with heating buildings by 60%!
